Description
Fermentation: After 14 days fermentation the wine was then basket pressed into some new but predominately older French Oak Barriques for 18 months maturation and then bottled without filtration or fining, to capture the essence of the vineyard and will reward cellaring and decanting.
Nose & Palate: Scented blueberries, cassis and anise aromas with baking spice, cedar and blackberry notes. Rich, deep, full-flavoured, blueberry, black plums, figs and red berry flavours. Cedar, clove, nutmeg and classic Cabernet tannins softened by smooth, mouth-filling fruit before a really extended finish.
