Casillero del Diablo is a value-led brand from Chile, a part of the portfolio of Concha y Toro, the largest wine producer in Latin America. Casillero del Diablo wines are made from classic Chilean grape varieties like Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Carmenere, and are widely available in the global marketplace.

The brand was established in 1963, but the legend of Casillero del Diablo dates to the 19th century at the cellar of Don Melchor, Concha y Toro’s founder. Wine was being stolen out of the cellar, so Don Melchor spread a rumor that the cellar was haunted by the devil himself, ‘El Diablo’.

Casillero del Diablo source grapes from around Chile, including from vineyards in the Maipo, Maule, Rapel, Casablanca, and Limarí Valleys. These are separated into a number of ranges – Reserva, the Devil’s Collection, Reserva Privada and Leyenda – and are both varietal and blended. The top wines fall under the Reserva Privada and Leyenda labels.
